Sophomore year also doesn’t have the best housing. Junior year if you don’t go abroad (or do), you’re screwed since you have to live on campus. Housing I think is our second biggest issue. Also, this is a HUGE GREEK LIFE SCHOOL! If this isn’t your thing, I would recommend another school. For boys, ONLY COME HERE if you are focused on academics and don’t go out OR you LOVE the idea of greek life and partying. With that said, this is definitely a fantastic school for most girls everyone can find their place. Junior: I’m a rising Junior at wake and I’ve LOVED my time here. Overall I know I can achieve what I want to accomplish. The only critique I would have is if you are interested in the Design School, transferring in is very difficult. Raleigh is also a great location to be in the Research Triangle. There is a good balance between academics and social life here. You have more freedom in what classes you take and you have control on how you want to live your life. The staff is helpful if you contact the right people and there are a lot of resources on campus to support you. Now I am a rising sophomore who intends to go into civil engineering. When you join the Wolfpack there is no going back! In coming to State, I have grown as a person and have met the people who will be my life-long friends. As an out-of-state resident going in without being sure of what major I would go into, the atmosphere on campus calmed my nerves. Sophomore: When I decided to go to NC State after finishing my last two years of high school during covid, I was hesitant to say the least. I cannot wait to be a healthcare manager and help geriatric patients receive the medical care they need and deserve. I will be obtaining my Master's in Healthcare Administration. I will be attending graduate school at MUSC in Charleston, Sc in FALL 2O22. I feel that I am 100% prepared for graduate school. All in all, I feel that my education, personal experiences, professors, clubs, and many other things have made me the student I am today. We got to meet business men and women all over the nation and they can and spoke the student body here at Uncw. In addition, I loved the people, the atmosphere, sports, club, etc. I am obtaining my business administration degree with a concentration in Human Resources management and I am excited for what the future holds. The professors were top notch and the class sizes are small so you actually get to know your professors. Senior: UNCW was amazing! I love my experience here.
